Photos from the 3rd Annual Bruce Wayne Charity GalaOn Saturday, September 14, 2019, we had the pleasure to attend and photograph the 3rd Annual Bruce Wayne Charity Gala. This event started with humble beginnings of one man’s dream of bringing joy to children in the worst time of their early lives. Then has grown to this amazing event and keeps on growing through the generosity of its supporters. Benefits of the event go towards the nonprofit organization known as The Project Bat Foundation which allows them to go into hospitals of Springfield and bring hope and optimism in their time of need.

“Out of a desire to help children forget why they are in the hospital, a couple of years ago I started visiting the children as Batman. Having the opportunity to see and speak to Batman is one of the high points in some of the children’s day. Childhood is a time for being carefree, exploring the world, and playing. Unfortunately for some children, childhood is also a time for hurting, illness, and disease, resulting in hospitalization. Being one of those children growing up, I remember the experience and have made it my mission to give back to the children and community.” ~ Springfield Batman

This year’s Gala was the unveiling of their new project “Bat Park”. Proceeds were being used for the greater good of Springfield, starting with “Batpacks” full of goods that will be delivered to the children at local hospitals by Springfield Batman and their new project the “Bat Park” to be located at The Ridge Development coming in 2021.

The Bat Park will be designed to be an inclusive, music, art, educational, sensory park for kids of all abilities. The dream is to see all the children playing together side by side and feel included. Donations are still being accepting on their website

Share your love and support for this amazing cause and bring more smiles to young children in their time of need.
